Winner of the 2014 Entrepreneurial Excellence Award, Kurt’s love for marketing expands over 30 years when his first full-time job was a graphic designer for a marketing agency in 1982. In the late-1990’s (when Google was just getting started), Kurt was one of the first to be recognized as a Yahoo Ambassador while serving as a marketing director for a fiber optic company. His early search engine optimization efforts grew his employer’s website traffic by over 6,000%. Leads from the website grew from virtually zero to an average of 400-500 per month. During this same time, the company grew by over 300%. Kurt recognized that the internet was the future of marketing and launched Customer Magnetism in May of 2000.
