Last week was a busy one for the Customer Magnetism family. We had a wonderful time at Local Marketing Expo (LMX). As one of the major sponsors of the one-day local marketing conference, it was a great opportunity for all of us to network, meet new people and put some faces with the names and voices we hear so often.
Perhaps Nicole Newsome, LMX conference coordinator, summed it up best when she said, “There is a lot of business going on in this place!”
LMX hosted more than 40 exhibitors in the Expo Hall, which was busy from the time the doors opened in the morning until the last of the prizes were given away at the end of the day. Congratulations to the winners of the iPad and the 3-day cruise for 2 to the Bahamas.
With 4 keynote speakers and 67 breakout session panelists, the day focused on how businesses can improve their local marketing strategies and better spend their advertising dollars. There were plenty of tips and tricks from the experts. The day’s topics covered integrated and targeted marketing; local pay-per-click campaigns; broadcast, print and outdoor advertising; search engine optimization and social media strategies, among others.
We are already turning our sights to next year’s event. If you attended the conference, be sure to look for the LMX feedback survey in your email. Our event organizers look forward to hearing about how you liked it and how to improve LMX for next year.
