Groupon Bleeding Money

Below is a link to a great post from the Harvard Business Review on Groupon’s financial troubles. Apparently, despite their best efforts, they couldn’t fool the SEC into thinking they were even close to profitable. Rob Wheeler explains Groupon’s antics and delves into why the startup’s generous financial backing actually might lead to its downfall.

My favorite quote: “The best way to manage a fledgling business is for managers to be impatient for profit but patient for growth.” A good gut check for growing businesses.
