Food Allergy Walk Raises Money, Awareness

The gang at Customer Magnetism recently got together to help raise money and awareness for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). A two-mile walk was held at Mt. Trashmore Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and some CM employees came out in support. FAAN is a non-profit organization providing education, awareness and a reliable resource for people who suffer from food allergies.

This is the fourth year that Customer Magnetism has participated in the walk. One of our own, Art, has life-threatening food allergies. Working with him on a daily basis has made us all aware of the challenges and dangers faced by about 9 million adults in the U.S. Common food allergies include peanuts, eggs, tree nuts and seafood.

FAAN holds fundraising walks in 40 locations throughout the country and has raised more than $2.4 million to be used in finding a cure, raising awareness and providing education about food allergies. The walk in Virginia Beach raised more than $13,000 among 158 participants this year.
