CM Cares: FAAN Walk 2011

On November 12, 2011 Customer Magnetism continued their charitable initiative to give back to the community with the Food, Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) walk at Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach. FAAN is a non-profit organization that provides awareness, education, and helpful resources for those who suffer from food allergies.

It was a beautiful, mildly windy day on Saturday that produced an excellent turnout with plenty of people attending ranging from all ages in support of the FAAN walk. There were various kinds of entertainment, food (allergy-free of course), music, and a bounce house in addition to contests and prizes. Other companies like Lucy’s showed up to showcase some of their allergy-free products which didn’t include ingredients such as peanuts, tree nuts, chocolate, and even eggs.

Customer Magnetism won the award for being one of the top teams in 2011 to raise money for the FAAN event. Customer Magnetism’s Team, Art’s FAAN Club, also completed the two mile lap around Mount Trashmore, among one of the first to complete the event.  With the amount of great people that attended, and CM’s driving force of charitable initiative, one can only believe that we’re only a few steps closer to finding a cure for people with food allergies. Personally, as one who suffers from a myriad of allergies, it’s such a breath of fresh air to work for a company that takes something like this seriously and does everything they can to help spread awareness about this issue. GO CM!
