CM Joins JT Walk and Beach Party Fundraiser

We continued our CM Cares charitable initiative on Sunday, with the JT Walk and Beach Party to raise money for the National ALS Foundation. The JT Walk in Virginia Beach is the largest ALS walk in America. This year’s walk raised $1,177,374. In addition to raising money to find treatment and a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, aka Lou Gehrig’s disease, the JT Walkers are also able to donate money to various children’s charities, including Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in nearby Norfolk. With the water temperature in Virginia Beach a chilly 48.6 degrees today, my thoughts are turning to the 19th Annual Polar Plunge, which is fast approaching. The Polar Plunge Winter Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 4 and 5th at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. For those not familiar with the Polar Plunge, it is when thousands of people dress up and run into the icy waters of Virginia Beach and back out again. Customer Magnetism Helps ForKids Spread Holiday Cheer

In November, Customer Magnetism joined the ForKids Thanksgiving Dinner Drive, where Customer Magnetism and its employees donated over 1,150 items for 50 families in the Hampton Roads area. We not only participated in the Thanksgiving Dinner Drive, but a few of us volunteered at the ForKids Holiday Shop in Norfolk. During our time volunteering, we did a couple of different things, including coloring angels for the Christmas Toy Drive and checking food expiration dates.
