I'd do some searches to find relevant forums, niche social sites, and start slow! Social Media can be time consuming and overwhelming. Start with 3 to 5 networks and get your feet wet. :)

Erin,
I want to know more about social marketing. I have been in the advertising business in direct mail for many years and want to move on to more internet based (I don't know if I am phrasing this correctly) services for some of my clients... could you please let me know what services you offer, prices and etc. I am not sure if this is something that can help me in getting and keeping more customers or not. if it can I know that I would not have time to do the actual work on this. Is this something that your service would offer. I would appreciate any help that you can offer me.

Thanks for reading. I'm glad the tips you have found here are helpful. Really SEO is an on-going and timely process. So my best advice for someone wanting to learn to do it themselves is to keep reading and learning. The name of the game is constantly evolving. For people out there who really don't have the time to invest into constantly tweaking and improving their site's SEO, I recommend a service like the ones my company provides. Ultimately it comes down to a matter of what is more cost affective for you. Is it more cost affective to spend money and save time, or save money and spend time? It's different for everyone.

As far as your question about title tags, it's very important to test. A lot of SEO is trial an error. Keyword density plays a roll, but it'll be different depending on your particular search terms and the competition level of those terms. So try out a title tag, see how it ranks and moves, give it some time and then re-adjust as need be. I don't think there is a magic number or formula to adjusting title tags. But I will say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! Title tags are probably one of the most important parts of your on page optimization, so if your title tag is keyword rich, isn't spammy, and converts well, I'd leave it be or only try slight variations. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.

toodles!

Really enjoy all of the timely and informative tips found on your site. Any ideas on what I can do to help my own site? Your advice will go a long way.How often do you suggest changing title tags for sites that might have SEO plugins.
